DRAWING AND PAINTING

Drawing and Painting
This course emphasizes basic drawing techniques and leads to individual projects that involve problems of color and composition. Work can be done in dry media or paint. Students take this course
three times a week, or two with permission from the instructor.

Advanced Drawing and Painting
Students work on individual projects of composition and on the development of their individual styles. Students take this course three times a week, or two with permission from the instructor.

Life Drawing and Anatomy
An introduction to the major formal relationships in the figure. In addition to the weekly double period of drawing from the nude model, there is a separate weekly class in anatomy.

Advanced Life Drawing and Composition
Students work one double period a week with the nude model, and have a separate weekly class in composition, where they explore ways of using the human figure as a subject of art.
