Library Catalog Library Mission Statement
The Mission of Commonwealth School is to educate young people from diverse backgrounds to become knowledgeable, thoughtful, and creative adults, capable of careful analysis, fruitful cooperation, and deep commitment.
To meet this mission, Commonwealth students must be well-informed and able to gather and manage information skillfully. As such, Commonwealth's Library aims to facilitate access to information relevant to the coursework and academic interests of the students, faculty, and staff of the School. Research skills learned in the library will equip students to lead well-informed, thoughtful, productive lives.
The Library will consist of a rich variety of print and electronic resources, connections to outside libraries and collections, and a program of information literacy instruction.
