This documentary chronicles the journey of two African-American women from their rural Mississippi hometown to the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

Filmmaker Bio:

A native of Holly Springs, MS, Roy recently retired as Vice President for Economic Development and Local Governmental Affairs at Jackson State University. He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Public Policy and Administration, Jackson State University, where he teaches two courses.He has recently co-created his own company, The Hill Country Project. It is a private not-for-profit 501© 3 tax exempt organization, located in Benton County, Mississippi, which focuses on education, economic development and community capacity building.  He is also co-owner, with his daughter, of Just A Buck Store, in Roswell, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

Michael Dukakis was the governor of Massachusetts from 1975 to 1979 and again from 1983 to 1991. He was the 1988 Democratic nominee for president. Since his departure from elected office, Dukakis has remained active in public life, joining the faculty of Northeastern University and teaching at other universities. He is also a well-known proponent of mass transit.
