We recommend public transit.
Subway: Take the Green line to Copley Square or the Orange line to the Back Bay Station. Take a left onto Dartmouth Street and follow it until you reach the intersection with Commonwealth Avenue. The school is located at the corner or Dartmouth Street and Commonwealth Avenue.
Commuter Rail: The Framingham/Worcester, Needham Heights, and Providence/Stoughton lines all serve Back Bay Station, four blocks from the School. Exit the front of the station onto Dartmouth Street and turn right. Walk along Dartmouth Street to Commonwealth Avenue. Cross Commonwealth Avenue and the School is on the corner of Dartmouth and Commonwealth.
By Car
From I-93: Take 93 North or South to Storrow Drive. Take the left exit to Copley Square. At the intersection, take a right onto Beacon Street. At the second traffic light, take a left onto Clarendon Street. The second traffic light on Clarendon Street is Commonwealth Avenue. Turn right. Follow Commonwealth Avenue to the next intersection, which is Dartmouth Street. Commonwealth School is located on the right at this intersection.
From the Mass. Pike: Take the Prudential/Copley Square exit from the Mass. Pike West. Stay in the right lane, following signs for Copley Square. As you come out of the tunnel get into the far left lane. At the light turn left onto Dartmouth Street. At the fourth light you will be at Commonwealth Avenue. The school is on the far right corner.
Parking: Meter parking is limited. A few parking garages are located near the school at the corner of Newbury and Dartmouth Streets; under Copley Place, off Huntington Avenue; at the corner of Clarendon and Stuart Streets; under the Prudential Center; and underground off Clarendon Street, behind Trinity Church in Copley Square.
