After you finish entering your information, you will submit the $50 application fee. (A limited number of fee waivers are available. To request one, call Helene Carter at 617-266-7525, ext. 233.)

The application-form deadline is January 1, 2013.

Next Steps

After you submit your application form and fee, we will call you to schedule an interview and, later, a day visit, during which applicants spend a day attending classes and meeting Commonwealth students and faculty.

Additional Materials

To complete your application use the links below to download our recommendation and transcript-release forms. Fill out the top portion of each form and give it to the appropriate teacher or school administrator. He or she should fill it out and return it directly to Commonwealth School. You may want to provide pre-stamped envelopes addressed to Commonwealth School to facilitate this part of the process. If they prefer, your teachers may also complete recommendation forms online.

Every applicant is also required to take the SSAT.

The deadline for all forms and any other supporting materials, including test scores, is February 1, 2013.

If you indicate in your application that you wish to apply for financial aid, a packet will be sent to you by the end of the calendar year. Both Admissions and financial aid decisions will be mailed on March 10, 2013.
