Clubs and teams
Commonwealth has a long tradition of student-run clubs and teams.
They always enrich the atmosphere of social and community engagement at the school; occasionally they effect more substantial change in how the school operates. These activities vary from year to year depending on the interest of students.
Some 2008–09 clubs and teams include:
- Diversity Committee, which discusses issues related to culture and ethnicity inside and outside the School. This group of about 25 students also organizes the annual Diversity Day, an all-school event with speakers, workshops, and discussion.
- Environmental Club, which initiated and oversees the School's recycling and composting program.
