Commonwealth Team Wins Big at CT Tournament

It was a very intense day of spirited debate and Commonwealth fielded three teams in total. The two Advanced teams were Nick Gabrieli '20 and Dina Pfeffer '22, Travis Chaplin '20 and Nathan Le '22 and the one Novice team with Soraya Mwangi '22 and Milo Kron '22. The teams more than held their own against a very strong field of powerhouse New England independent debate schools. Nick and Dina placed second as a team, and Nick tied for third place as an individual debater. Dina scored an impressive sixth place out of a total of 68 Advanced debaters. This was Dina's debut in an advanced tournament after winning first place as a novice in two out of three tournaments last year.
