Projects

Each year, students take on endeavors of their own design during Project Week.

Projects allow students to delve deeply into an interest and explore it more fully, whether it's the cellist refurbishing antique instruments, two Physics friends working at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, or a student applying her penchant for chemistry to chocolate making. (Meet these students and others.)

During Project Week, students gain valuable experience in professional and higher education settings, learn new skills, and form meaningful and lasting relationships with mentors. They apply their classroom studies to the world beyond 151 Commonwealth Avenue, and often discern what they want to pursue in college and as a career.

We encourage exploration, even bravery, when selecting projects. The sky is—sometimes quite literally—the limit!
