Summer Enrichment at Commonwealth

July 19 to August 13, 2021

Will you be starting high school soon? Are you interested in making new friends who love learning as much as you do? And does your idea of summer fun include puzzling through problem sets, exploring the twists and turns in the development of modern medicine, or going to the edge of the world with Gilgamesh? If so, you will love Summer Enrichment at Commonwealth, our virtual academic summer program.

  • Who: The program is open to rising eighth- and ninth-grade students.
  • What: Joining a small cohort of their curious peers, students can take one or two non-credit-bearing courses in academically invigorating subjects.
  • When: Each course will last four weeks, from July 19 to August 13, 2021, meeting three times each week. Classes will be held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
  • Where: All classes will be virtual, held in our robust online learning platform, Virtual Commonwealth.

You can find the program details, including cost, financial aid, schedule, and course descriptions on this page.

We hope you join us!

Program Details

I was part of the math program (Adventures in Math)...It was more focused on problem solving, and applying what you know in creative ways. It was really fun seeing interesting ways to solve problems or even different ways to see the same problem—there might be a faster or a simpler way to do it.
