Gather documents that you will need to complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). These documents might include current-year pay stubs, past-year tax returns and W-2s, and statements related to bank accounts, credit cards, investments, retirement plans, major education or medical debts, mortgages, vehicles, and medical/dental expenses.

Start your PFS for 2023–2024. For helpful tips, consult the SSS Parents’ Financial Statement Workbook, which is available in English and Spanish.

Complete your PFS by February 1, select Commonwealth as a recipient (using our school code 2542), and pay the $60 fee if prompted to do so. SSS automatically assigns fee waivers to certain families based on income and assets.

Upload any required supporting documents (usually in PDF format) by the dates listed below:

February 1

• Deadline to complete and submit the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS).
• Deadline to upload completed 2021 federal tax return (1040) with all schedules, W-2s, and 1099s to SSS.

February 15

• Deadline to upload copies of all 2022 W-2s and 1099s to SSS.
• Deadline to upload completed 2022 federal tax return (1040) to SSS.

Please note: Commonwealth informs families of financial aid decisions along with admission decisions on March 10.
