ImPACT Testing

The ImPACT test is a concussion baseline test Commonwealth uses to help us determine when it is safe for students to return to athletics after experiencing a concussion. All students are required to take this test regardless of the sport they’re participating in.

The ImPACT test takes about twenty minutes. It can be taken on any computer, including those at home.

How do I take the test?

  • Go to impacttestonline.com/testing
  • Enter the customer code: G3GZ8206DA and click “Validate”
  • After “Commonwealth School” appears, click “Launch test”
  • Follow the prompts in the popup window. Note:
    • When selecting gender, please use the gender assigned at birth.
    • You can skip “additional demographics.”
    • Current symptoms/conditions should be most or all zeroes, unless you’ve had a recent concussion. These are specific to you, the test taker. For example, if you wear glasses, visual problems will still be zero unless you’re experiencing worse than your normal vision.
    • Begin the test by following the prompts.
