Dear parents of in-person students,
With the holidays around the corner, we write to clarify our expectations regarding travel and gain a better sense of your plans—to the extent you are able to make them, given our ever-changing circumstances.
Travel Expectations
Students who travel to lower-risk areas—currently only District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and Washington—do not need to quarantine or submit a negative COVID test before returning to school. However, we ask that you still notify Stephanie Poynter of your travel plans.
Please note that the list of lower-risk states may change between now and the holidays as well.
Survey
Only parents of in-person students need take this survey. We ask that you complete it as soon as possible and no later than Monday, November 16. Reminder, too, that all families should alert Stephanie Poynter of any shifts in their normal schedule (i.e., moving from hybrid to fully remote or vice versa).
Please note that we remain highly attuned to all government guidelines, and we are prepared to shift to a fully online model, should the need arise. You are welcome, as always, to contact Headmaster Bill Wharton or Assistant Head of School Rebecca Jackman with questions or concerns. For general questions about these policies, you may respond to this email. 151 Commonwealth Avenue • Boston, MA 02116 • (617) 266-7525 © Commonwealth School, Inc. |
