Impact Areas

Impact Areas within The Commonwealth Fund offer the opportunity to translate your passions into transformative experiences for students, while an unrestricted gift will support Commonwealth’s most immediate needs and priorities.

Your gift is deeply meaningful to us. What is most important to you?

Unrestricted: Area of Greatest Need

Unrestricted gifts provide immediate support where the need is greatest. We are grateful for the unrestricted support that allows us to respond to immediate needs in thoughtful and nimble ways. Thank you for considering an unrestricted gift to Commonwealth.

Access and Opportunity: Financial Aid and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

When you direct your gift to Access and Opportunity at Commonwealth, you open doors. Your generosity makes it possible for Commonwealth to achieve our founding mission to educate talented students from diverse backgrounds, regardless of families’ financial situation.

Academic Discovery: Curriculum and Faculty Development

A gift supporting Academic Discovery is an investment in Commonwealth’s talented faculty, from continued trainings to competitive compensation; rich curriculum, including the development of in-demand courses; and expertly curated library, adding to our diverse and thought-provoking collection.

Creativity: Visual and Performing Arts

Your support of Creativity at Commonwealth helps inspire and ignite artistic exploration in the classroom, on stage, and in the studio. The arts are integral to the Commonwealth experience. Some graduates go on to be accomplished performers and artists; others share that their formative time in the ceramics studio or harmonizing in Chorus equipped them with a creative lens that continues to serve their personal and professional lives.

Community Engagement: Experiential Learning

A gift toward Community Engagement allows Commonwealth students to explore every corner of their world: testing theories during Project Week; serving those in need in Boston and beyond; organizing clubs like Model UN, Feminism, and Robotics; even just getting to know each other better at Hancock.
