
International (and Intergalactic) Diplomacy at COMMUN XI
Confident, articulate, well-versed in international trade policy, sharply dressed, and twelve years old (maybe eleven): the delegates at COMMUN XI impressed their committee chairs, teachers, and each other as they investigated anti-government conspiracies in 1934 Washington, prepared for a supervolcano eruption in Yellowstone National Park, and created of the first human colony on Mars, amongst other challenges. We were delighted to welcome almost 150 delegates from schools around Greater Boston and as far as New Jersey on Saturday, April 11, for our twelfth-annual conference. Founded by and run by Commonwealth students, COMMUN is an opportunity for middle schoolers to strengthen their public speaking, research, and writing skills while deepening their ability to Kudos to the award winners below, and many thanks to our delegates, volunteers, chaperones, chairs, and secretariat for spectacular event.
